Matt Vega
Was a 2x All Conference and All State selection while playing at Rawlins High School. He was also a Wyoming/Montana All Star, North/South All Star and an All America Honorable Mention. He was also chosen for the Who’s Who in High School Sports and ended his high school career as a State Champion in 1997.
He enters his 3rd year as the Boy’s Head Basketball Coach at Midwest High School and 10th year overall as a coach. Previously spent time as the Women’s Assistant Basketball Coach at Casper College where he helped teams finish 4th and 9th in the nation in back to back years. During his 5 years at Casper College he helped to train 3 NJCAA All Americans in consecutive years. After Casper College he moved to Colorado to become the Girl’s Head Basketball Coach at Platte Valley High School where he lead the Lady Broncos to back to back State Tournament appearances.
Matt is the Owner/Trainer of Wyoming Elite Basketball and has worked with a number of
athletes in Wyoming and Colorado who have gone on to play college basketball. Wyoming Elite focuses on building fundamentals and helping players grow to reach their full potential. Wyoming Elite also conducts skill workouts and camps all over Wyoming. He also works with Midwest Elite Basketball travelling all over the Midwest Region conducting team camps focusing on team drills and individual skills.
Matt has also worked with Breakthrough Basketball helping to run camps in Wyoming and Colorado
He is a certified I’m Possible basketball trainer as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach.
